Disposal rate increases have been affected at the Waste Transfer Stations in Clewiston and LaBelle.
Please be advised that Hendry and Lee County Governments are in negotiations, concerning the rates.
Until a mutual agreement is reached, you are advised to hold on to your disposal tickets, in the event that the increase is reversed. If this occurs, you will be informed by public notice of the procedures for a refund.
The above information in no way guarantees a refund of any kind. The increased rates may very well remain as is, after completion of negotiations between the Counties.
A public notice will be given of the final results.

Increased rates are as follows.
Hendry County generated waste per ton:
Garbage $ 31.29 Construction & Demolition Debris $ 22.86 Horticulture $ 21.44 Tires (Residential 1-4) $ 41.71 Tires (Residential 5, or more) $ 76.71 Extra Large Tires $ 84.92 White Goods $ 31.92

Minimum charge for all material, except tires, is $2.00. Minimum charge for tires is $5.00.
