Davis-Pratt Park is one of LaBelle's original parks. The park was named in honor of the two principal donors who contributed the land to provide LaBelle with its first park.  Davis-Pratt Park is now one of the most widely used park in LaBelle, housing 4 baseball fields, 1 softball field, 2 practice fields, and a full-sized football field. Home of the LaBelle Longhorns for Pop Warner football.  The location is 1287 Lillian Street, LaBelle, FL. Below is Little League players in anticipation of the beginning of a game.

Baseball is one of America’s favorite national past time.  In the late 18th century Baseball became a great game for everyone to enjoy. By the beginning of the 20th century most large cities had a professional team. In the 1920’s Baseball came of age. Babe Ruth lead the New York Yankees to the World Series. In 1992 at the Barcelona Olympic Games Baseball became an official sport. With great opposition world wide in 2008 Baseball was removed from Olympic games. Baseball and Softball are global sports, and popularity grows daily. It is estimated that 65 million athletes in over 140 countries play the game.

UPDATE: Baseball will return to the Olympic Games in 2020 to debut in Tokyo!
